Daniel 1:8-12 Prepare to Serve The King

Daniel and his friends were blessed when they didn’t follow the crowd. Daniel wasn’t going to defile himself by eating meat that was not kosher and offered to idols. Instead, he asked if he could have a vegetable diet. The chief of the eunuchs reluctantly agreed to a 10-day test. Because of their faithfulness, God blessed them. They received supernatural knowledge, skill, and wisdom, and Daniel received a gift of understanding visions and dreams. The 4 young men also looked better and healthier than the other captives. God granted them favor in the king’s eyes.
