Daniel 3: Things Are Heating Up

Are you going to worship whom the government tells you to worship in face of death? King Nebuchadnezzar has a statue (idol) built and commands everyone to worship it when the music plays. Everyone does it except the Jews. Some of the Chaldeans decide to tell on them. The king gets angry and calls for Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego. He gives them an ultimatum, to worship the statue and be let go, or refuse and be killed. They answered and said they are not afraid of the consequences and they will not bow. The king gets angry and has them thrown into the fiery furnace. The Lord showed up inside the fiery furnace and kept them from being destroyed.
