Daniel 11:1-20 Exploits and Intrigue

Daniel is given a prophecy of world events before they occurred, starting with the Persians and continuing through the battles between the Ptolemy’s and the Seleucids. The detail given in this chapter, and subsequently realized through history has secular scholars scratching their heads wondering how this could have been written before it occurred. These literal events span from the year 529BC to 163BC, and through what biblical scholars call the “Silent Years”, or the “Intertestamental Period”, the roughly 400 years between the Old Testament and the New Testament.
