Daniel 6: Daniel and the Deep State

The Lord saves Daniel from being killed by lions as a testimony. When Darius takes the throne, he establishes a government with satraps and governors. These satraps and governors want Daniel killed, but they can’t figure out how to do that legally, so they come up with a scheme. They convince the king to establish a law that he should be worshiped as a god for 30 days. Because Daniel will not worship any other god, the satraps and governors catch him worship his God. This forces the unwilling king to sentence him to death in the lions den. The Lord miraculously saves Daniel. The king glorifies the Lord and has those governors and satraps thrown into the lions den with their families for forcing his hand in deceit.
