Daniel 2:1-23 Seeking The Will of God

Nebuchadnezzar is confronted with the reality that spiritual and mysterious things are often deceiving and false. King Nebuchadnezzar had a dream that troubled him so much, he knew it had to be prophetic. He called for all the “wise” men who could call upon their gods. He called for those that sought out “dark magic”, and he called out for the Chaldeans to shed some light on his dream. But the dream was so important that he didn’t want to be tricked by someone claiming to know the interpretation, without really knowing. He said they have to give him the dream and then the interpretation so that he would know that their power and translation was true. They all said that it couldn’t be done. This made him angry because he didn’t appreciate their false service, so he decided to have them all killed. Daniel was given the dream and the interpretation.
