We ask that you only provide information about another person when you have permission or another appropriate reason to do so.

Prayer Requests and Sensitive Information

Prayer is an important part of the ministry of Calvary Chapel Thunder Mountain. When you submit a prayer request, you may choose to share personal or sensitive information with us.

Prayer requests may be received, reviewed, and prayed for by appropriate pastors, staff members, ministry leaders, or prayer team members depending on the manner in which the request is submitted and any preferences provided with the request.

Please use discretion when submitting information about another person, particularly information concerning medical conditions, family circumstances, or other sensitive matters.

We seek to treat prayer requests with care and respect. However, please do not use a prayer request form to report an emergency or a situation requiring immediate professional assistance.

Children and Youth

Our website is intended primarily for adults and families and is not designed for children to independently provide personal information.

Information concerning children or youth is generally provided to us by a parent, legal guardian, or other authorized adult in connection with church programs, events, check-in, or ministry participation.

We encourage parents and guardians to supervise their children’s use of online services and to contact us if they believe a child has provided personal information to us without appropriate permission.

Online Giving

When you make a financial contribution online, payment information may be collected and processed by third-party payment and church-management providers on our behalf.

CCTM may receive information necessary to record and acknowledge your contribution, such as your name, contact information, contribution amount, date, fund designation, and transaction information. Full payment-card or bank-account information may be handled directly by the applicable payment processor rather than stored by CCTM.

Contribution records may be retained as necessary for accounting, tax, legal, and church recordkeeping purposes.

Church Management and Registration Services

We use third-party services to help administer church activities, registrations, communication, giving, volunteer scheduling, and other ministry functions.

Information submitted through these services may be processed and stored by the applicable provider in accordance with its own privacy practices and its agreements with CCTM.

These services may include Planning Center and related services used by our church.

Email and Text Communications

If you provide your email address or mobile phone number, we may use it to send communications related to church activities, registrations, ministries, or other information you have requested.

You may unsubscribe from promotional or general email communications by using the unsubscribe option included in those messages when available.

If we offer text-message subscriptions, you may opt out of future messages by following the instructions included with those communications. Transactional or ministry-related communications associated with an activity in which you are participating may be handled separately.

Website Usage, Cookies, and Analytics

Like most websites, our website and the services that support it may automatically collect limited technical information when you visit. This may include information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, pages visited, and approximate usage information.

Our website and third-party services may use cookies or similar technologies to operate website features, maintain security, remember preferences, measure website usage, and improve the website.

You can control certain cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect the operation of some website features.

Embedded Content and Third-Party Websites

Our website may include or link to content provided by third parties, such as videos, maps, registration forms, giving services, social-media content, or other embedded services.

When you interact with embedded content, the third-party provider may collect information about your interaction in accordance with its own privacy practices.

Our website may also contain links to websites that are not operated by Calvary Chapel Thunder Mountain. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those independent websites.

Photos, Video, and Livestreaming

CCTM may photograph, record, or livestream worship services, church events, and ministry activities for purposes such as livestreaming, teaching, communication, historical documentation, and sharing the ministry of the church.

Because worship services and some church events are public gatherings, attendees may appear incidentally in photographs or video.

We seek to exercise additional care regarding identifiable images of children and youth. Parents or guardians with questions or concerns about the use of an image of their child may contact the church.

How We Share Information

We do not sell personal information.

We may disclose personal information when reasonably necessary to:

  • Provide church ministries or services you have requested
  • Work with service providers that assist us with church administration, website hosting, communications, registrations, giving, technology, or similar functions
  • Protect the safety, rights, property, or security of individuals or the church
  • Investigate suspected fraud, misuse, or security incidents
  • Comply with applicable legal obligations
  • Respond to lawful requests from government or law-enforcement authorities
  • Protect a person from a serious threat of harm when disclosure is reasonably necessary

Within the church, access to personal information may be provided to pastors, staff members, ministry leaders, volunteers, or others when reasonably necessary for their ministry or administrative responsibilities.

Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected and for legitimate ministry, administrative, financial, safety, recordkeeping, or legal purposes.

Different types of information may be retained for different periods. For example, financial contribution records may need to be retained longer than information submitted for a single event.

Data Security

We take reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures intended to protect personal information in our care.

No website, electronic communication, or information-storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You should therefore use appropriate care when deciding what information to submit electronically.

  • Correct or update personal information you have provided to us
  • Ask questions about information we maintain about you
  • Request deletion of certain information, when appropriate
  • Change your communication preferences
  • Ask questions about this Privacy Policy or our privacy practices

Some information may need to be retained when reasonably necessary for legal, financial, safety, administrative, or church recordkeeping purposes.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as our website, ministries, technology, or legal obligations change.

When we make changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page. Material changes may also be communicated in another appropriate manner.
