Peter is begging the Christians who find themselves in foreign countries to be good examples of a Christ follower. That means that we can’t be giving in to every lust of the flesh like those that have not been saved. We ought to look different. They are going to speak poorly of us, so don’t give them any good reason to. In fact, follow all the laws of their country. That way, when they try to come at you with allegations, nothing will stick. Act honorably with those you come in contact with.
