1Peter 1:10-12 // The Greatest Prophecy

The prophecy of the coming Messiah was the greatest prophecy of all. The prophets of old were inquiring and searching for answers about the promised messiah. They were wanting to know what it the purpose was and when He was going to be revealed. They wrote about the sufferings of Christ and the glories that would follow, but they didn’t know what it would actually look like when it would eventually play out. The prophets were ministering about things that happened for the people of Peter’s day and following. It is reported to you through the apostles. These are the things that were so glorious, yet kept secret. It’s the things that even the Angels longed to see and understand.
