James 5:1-12 // Looking Forward

Our attitude about the future should be Kingdom minded. James continues his thoughts on the future and turns to the people that are causing the Christians to stumble in their attitudes. Their rich oppressors. He begins by warning the rich people that are hoarding their money instead of using their money for good. He calls out the immoral ways they have gained their wealth. James moves on to encourage the Christians to wait patiently and expectantly for the second coming of the Lord. James encourages them to wait with patience and a good attitude, enduring the hardships. James concludes this section by encouraging Christians to be people of their word. To be people who can be trusted to do what they say they are going to do.
