Our Statement of Faith is more than a list of doctrines—it’s a confession of the truth that shapes who we are as a church family. These beliefs anchor us in God’s Word, unite us in Christ, and guide us in living out our faith in the world. Click below to see how these truths form the foundation of our life together.
We believe there is one living and true God, eternally existing in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Equal in power and glory, this triune God created all things, upholds all things, and governs all things.
“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.”
Genesis 1:1; Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 44:8 and48:16; Matthew 28:19-20; John 10:30; Hebrews 1:3
We believe the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the inspired, infallible, and inerrant Word of God. They are the final authority for faith, life, and the practice of this church. We hold to faithful, word-for-word translations of the Bible that accurately reflect the original texts.
“All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.”
Isaiah 28:13; Nehemiah8:8; John 17:17; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; Hebrews 4:12; 1 Peter 1:23-25; 2 Peter 1:3-4 and 1:21
We believe in God the Father, infinite, eternal, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power, and love. He is mercifully involved in the affairs of people, hears and answers prayer, and saves from sin and death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ.
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”
Deuteronomy 33:27; Psalms 90:2; Psalms 102:27; John 3:16and 4:24; 1 Timothy 1:17; Titus 1:3
We believe in Jesus Christ, God’s only begotten Son. Conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin, He lived a sinless life, performed miracles, and taught with authority. He died a substitutionary death on the cross, rose bodily from the grave, ascended to heaven, intercedes for His people, and will personally and visibly return to earth to reign.
“And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.”
Isaiah 7:14; Micah 5:2; Matthew 1:23; Mark16:19; Luke 1:34-35; John 1:1-2, 8:58 and 11:25; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; 1 Timothy 3:16;Hebrews 1:8; 1 John 1:2; Revelation 1:8
We believe the Holy Spirit is fully God, equal with the Father and the Son. He convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment. He regenerates, sanctifies, seals, and empowers believers for life and ministry. The Spirit indwells every believer as Helper and Guide, and His gifts are still given to the church today. These gifts are to be exercised in a biblical and orderly way that builds up the body of Christ and makes Jesus known.
“But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.”
John 14:26, John 16:8-11, Romans 8:9, Ephesians 1:13, 1 Corinthians 6:19, Acts 2, 1 Corinthians 12-14
We believe all people are sinners by nature and under God’s just condemnation. Salvation is a gift of grace, received by faith through repentance and confession of Jesus Christ as Lord. By the work of the Holy Spirit, God saves, forgives, and makes us new.
“When they arrived, they prayed for the new believers there that they might receive the Holy Spirit, 16 because the Holy Spirit had not yet come on any of them; they had simply been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. 17 Then Peter and John placed their hands on them, and they received the Holy Spirit.”
Acts 8:15-17; Ephesians 2:1-3 and 8-9; Romans 3:23 and5:8; Titus 3:5
We believe in the universal Church—the living body of Christ of which He is the Head and all who are born again are members. Locally, the church gathers to worship, grow through God’s Word, use spiritual gifts, and fulfill Christ’s mission in the world.
“Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ. 13 For we were all baptized by one Spirit so as to form one body—whether Jews or Gentiles, slave or free—and we were all given the one Spirit to drink.”
1 Corinthians 12:12-13; Ephesians 4:15-16
We believe the Lord Jesus Christ gave His church two ordinances:
We also affirm that Christ validated the ordinance of marriage, designed by God as a covenant between one man and one woman.
“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.”
Matthew 28:19; Luke 22:19-20; Acts 2:38; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26; Matthew 19:4-5 and John 2:1-11
We believe in the personal and visible return of Jesus Christ to establish His millennial kingdom. He will raise the dead, judge all people, bless the righteous with eternal joy, and separate the wicked in eternal judgment.
“For the Son of Man is going to come in his Father’s glory with his angels, and then he will reward each person according to what they have done.”
Matthew 16:27; Acts 1:11; Revelation 19:11-16, 20:11-15
We believe in a literal Heaven and a literal Hell. All who place their trust in Christ will spend eternity with Him in Heaven. Those who reject His gift of salvation will be eternally separated from Him.
“Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.”
Psalm 9:17; Matthew 5:3, 5:22, 18:9 and 25:31-34; Mark 9:42-49; Luke 12:5; John 3:18; Hebrews 12:23; 1 Peter 1:4; Revelation 14:10-11 and 20:11-15
We believe in the blessed hope of the church — the Pre-Tribulation Rapture. Believers will be caught up to meet the Lord before the Tribulation period comes upon the earth.
“For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first.”
Isaiah 26:20; Matthew 24:29-31; Luke 21:36; Romans 1:18, 5:9; 1 Thessalonians 1:10, 4:13-16 and 5:9; 2 Peter 2:7-9; Revelation 3:10, 5:7-10 and 7:13-14
We believe God created humanity in His image, male and female. These genders are God-given and unchangeable. Marriage is defined by God as a covenant union between one man and one woman. Sexual intimacy is to be expressed only within that covenant.
We affirm that all forms of sexual immorality — including adultery, fornication, pornography, homosexuality, and transgenderism — are contrary to God’s design. Yet we also affirm that God offers forgiveness, healing, and restoration to all who repent and believe in Christ.
“For the Lord“So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.”
Genesis 1:27, Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6, Romans 1:26-27, 1 Corinthians 6:9-11, Hebrews 13:4, Acts 3:19, 2 Corinthians 5:17
