Small groups meet in homes around our community and are all about sharing life together. They’re a relaxed place to build friendships, talk honestly, and grow deeper in our faith as we follow Jesus together.

Whitcomb's Small Group

Meets weekly on Mondays from 7-8:30pm

Ben and Janet Whitcomb are opening up their home in Black Diamond for a small group that’s all about faith, friendship, and fun. Each week they’ll be facilitating discussion based on the previous Sunday’s sermon—so you can dive deeper, ask questions, and talk through how it connects to real life. They love the outdoors, board games, and any excuse to get people together—so expect a mix of good conversation, lots of laughter, and maybe even some friendly competition around the game table. The group will meet on Monday nights from 7:00–8:30 p.m. There’s no formal childcare, but kids are welcome to hang out in the living room or basement if they’re able. And yes—there may even be dessert from time to time. Come ready to relax, connect, and be part of the Whitcomb's welcoming crew!

Fighting With Fear: Young Ladies Small Group

Fridays. November 7th – December 12th

Fighting with Fear is a 6-week Bible study by Kate Downing, published through Lifeway, that walks through the book of Nehemiah and explores how the fear of God equips us to overcome anxiety, insecurity, and doubt. While this study is specifically designed with teen girls in mind, older women are also welcome to participate if they feel it would be beneficial for their spiritual growth. Each of the six small group sessions will highlight Nehemiah’s example of faith and courage, offering practical encouragement for following God with confidence in the midst of life’s challenges. This group will meet November 7th – December 12th.

Avery Small Group

Meets weekly on Mondays from 6-8pm

Aaron and Jessica Avery will be hosting a sermon-based small group on Monday evenings from 6:00–8:00 p.m. This group is designed to build community and provide a welcoming space to share life together while also engaging in meaningful discussion around the previous Sunday’s message. It’s a great opportunity to ask questions, explore practical applications, and encourage one another in faith. Jessica and Aaron are both healthcare workers with young adult children, and they love music, people, and getting together with others. Childcare will be available throughout the evening, though space may be limited depending on the age range of children present. They would love for you to join them!

Our classes come in all shapes and sizes. Some are short-term and tailored to specific needs like finances, marriage, or parenting. Others are longer-term and take you on a deeper dive into God’s Word. Wherever you start, each class is designed to help you grow and apply faith in everyday life.

Financial Peace University

Meets weekly on Wednesdays from 6-8pm

This 9-week class is held Wednesday evenings starting September 24th and going till November 19th. It will be held at the church office on Cole St. Head over to the Calendar to register!

Every Monday at 6PM starting October 6th.

This class is held weekly, on Monday evenings. Formerly the "Foundations class", this 9-month class takes you deeper into a firm faith in Jesus Christ.
